St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, contributing to the initiative to honor the Japanese diplomat Ch. Sugihara’s 80th anniversary of his activities in Kaunas and the 120th anniversary of his birth, are invited to a concert presenting today’s cultural ties between Lithuania and Japan. The show will feature music by contemporary Lithuanian and Japanese composers, and the latest work by the Japanese composer S. Sahara is dedicated to Ch. Sugihara. The orchestra will be accompanied by the famous Japanese performer Mizuki Aita (vibraphone) and the wife of the son of one of Sugihara’s rescued persons, Professor Kristina Reiko Cooper (cello).

This concert aims to remind the famous Japanese diplomat Ch. Sugihara’s activities in Lithuania and the merits of humanity and to present the contemporary musical ties between Lithuania and Japan.
