Theatrical concert for children and adults – MUSICAL FLASH!

St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra that will be celebrating its birthday very soon, remarkable actors Aistė Lasytė and Dominykas Vaitiekūnas (the band „Liūdni Slibinai“), and a flock of sprightly girls from a choral singing school „Liepaitės“ invites all, big and small to a fantastic, theatrical and extremely fun concert of songs by Zita Bružaitė – „MUSICAL FLASH“!

What could be more fun than a sea of talented children who are singing the most beautiful songs with the most sincere emotions? Who could resist the charismatic acting of young and yet experienced actors? Moreover, how wonderful that all these elements will be surrounded by a beautiful sound of St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and other professional musicians! This concert – a real celebration for every ear and most importantly it is marked with a sign of the highest quality. Could one expect more from Sunday afternoon – it will be healthy and useful, fun and sad, nice and there is a great chance that after it is over you will not want to go home!

Presentation of the Book of the 25th anniversary of St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra
This Sunday at the Congress Centre Litexpo, the 3rd Hall, LRT forum, an exceptional event presenting the book of the 25th anniversary of St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra will be held. There you will hear a fun concert by St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, that will be conducted by it’s Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Modestas Barkauskas. After conducting, maestro will join the colourful discussion with other participants such as the founder of the orchestra, maestro Donatas Katkus himself, musicologists Zita Kelmickaitė and Rūta Gaidamavičiūtė. The discussion will be moderated by the editor of the book, musicologist Rasa Murauskaitė. You are most welcome to visit!

On the 24th January, St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra invites to an exceptionally subtle birthday concert of Vilnius
City.
Imagine a picture – roofs of the majestic Vilnius covered in fluffy snowflakes, white smoke coming out of the chimneys, as if in a fairy tale frozen siluetes of spectacular Vilnius churches and music, clear as crystal in the background, enchanting with its perfection and simplicity of its beauty. It is a concert–impression, after attending it the music by one of the greatest genius of all times Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his father Leopold Mozart will remain in your hearts and minds for long.
There is a reason why the musicians-magicians of St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and owner of the softest voice Gunta Gelgotė will perform the pieces by both Mozarts’ – the young Mozart is also celebrating his birthday in January, and this year Leopold will celebrate his 300 th birthday.

It has become a bright tradition celebrating the Day of Defenders of Freedom with a mutual performances Women Choir „LIEPOS“ and St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra. For the beginning of the year 2019, 13 January a huge collective of several generations has prepared a special program, named „The Light of Hope“. It alone – HOPE – can not be taken from a man, because it is a memory and a desire. So let’s gather together, let’s listen to divine music, wish ourselves and others that the days that pass by so fast would unite us and raise up above the everyday life, would bring closer the victory of the Good.

In the program you will hear eternal works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Ludwig van Beethoven, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Stanislaw Moniuszko and Henry Purcell, also the best works by the best Lithuanian contemporary composers.
