Music by legendary movie composers

What are the legendary movies? That is a timeless movies that doesn’t age in sense of time, storyline ore genre. Their heroes are known by all generations. No less is known the composers of such music. Most people from the first chords recognize the melodies of the genius Italian composer Nino Rotta created for the film “The Godfather”, “The Godfather II”, “The Death on the Nile” by Agatha Kristi, and many other legendary films. No less are known Roberto Molinelli and Ennio Morricone, who was awarded with many rewards for movie music. To this day Morricone’s amazing, enchanting melody of the movies “Once upon a time in America”, “Malena “, Roberto Molinelli beautiful piece “Four pictures of New York” awakens imagination and on the paths of memories leads back to the past.

Vivaldi in Rock

Baroque and rock are two music styles, the formation of which divided by centuries, but they go well together. St. The Christopher Chamber Orchestra, along with guitar virtuoso Tomas Varnagiris, presents the program “Vivaldi in Rock.” The baroque genius Antonio Vivaldi’s concert cycle “The Four Seasons” will sound in the rock style.

Season opening concert

For the start of the season – the highest note. St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra will start the new season with a good friend, probably the most famous Lithuanian pianist Petras Geniušas. In response to Ludwig van Beethoven’s fast-paced jubilee year, the orchestra, together with a longtime stage partner, will perform Concerto for piano and orchestra no. 5 In E flat major, Op. 73 of this genius. The most impressive works for string orchestra will accompany the remarkable concert.

THE PATH OF CH. SUGIHARA

St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra, contributing to the initiative to honor the Japanese diplomat Ch. Sugihara’s 80th anniversary of his activities in Kaunas and the 120th anniversary of his birth, are invited to a concert presenting today’s cultural ties between Lithuania and Japan. The show will feature music by contemporary Lithuanian and Japanese composers, and the latest work by the Japanese composer S. Sahara is dedicated to Ch. Sugihara. The orchestra will be accompanied by the famous Japanese performer Mizuki Aita (vibraphone) and the wife of the son of one of Sugihara’s rescued persons, Professor Kristina Reiko Cooper (cello).
