The concert is meant to commemorate the remembrance of defenders of Lithuanian freedom, specifically meant to celebrate the 13th of January 1991. You can read here more.
It is also an important event in a bouquet of all the patriotic events meant for the 100th anniversary of Lithuanian independence from the Soviet Union.
