St. The Christopher Chamber Orchestra actively collaborates with Lithuanian and the world’s contemporary composers, searching for new, exciting works and tries to present them to the broadest possible audience. Also, it is an ensemble that performs many premieres works for chamber orchestra both in Lithuania and abroad.
2019 in collaboration with the League of Israeli Composers, the orchestra initiated a competition during which Israeli composers sent their latest works to the orchestra and selected a concert program in Israel. In preparation for the performance, the orchestra rehearsed with the authors of the pieces and presented the premiere concert to the Tel Aviv Musical Society.
September 16th of this year at the Catherine Church will introduce Lithuanian listeners to the program played in Tel Aviv, supplemented by Litvak and new Israeli composers.
