2024 May 16, 19:30 p.m. National Art Gallery (Constitution pr. 22, Vilnius)
First concert in Lithuania with MiMu Gloves sensory gloves!
The concert will feature new works by Raminta Naujanytė – Bjelle and joint compositions with the concert guests. The main highlight of the event is MiMu Gloves, an interactive device controlled by gestures. MiMu Gloves is a device created by the famous British composer, performer, and innovator Imogen Heap and her team that allows you to control and create music with hand gestures. The properties of this device, which is rarely found in practice and is still new in Lithuania, provide the composer with new opportunities for musical expression. The composer notes that the MiMu Gloves instrument is best revealed in interaction with other acoustic and electronic musical instruments. The new compositions being prepared for this concert will sound with the author’s familiar combinations of vocals, live electronics, saxophone, and orchestra!
