KRZYSZTOF PENDERECKI: EUROPE IN TRIBUTE TO THE MASTER
Last year we lost one of the most influential 20th-21st century artists, composer Krszystof Penderecki. The creator, who changed the history of music and captured the complex history of the last century in his works, was also a good friend of Lithuanian musicians; therefore, his loss severely affected the community of our creators. July 15 Vilnius City Municipality St. The Christopher Chamber Orchestra invites you to remember this legendary creator in a concert dedicated to him. In addition to the K. Penderecki Sinfonietta String Orchestra, the program will include works by other Polish composers – Maciej Bałenkowski, Wojciech Kostrzewa, Andrzej Ojczenasz (winner of the 5th Krzysztof Penderecki Composition Competition). These are today’s Polish creators who continue K. Penderecki’s tradition of creativity and authenticity. The program also includes “De Profundis” by Lithuanian composer Raminta Šerkšnytė.
The event will be broadcasted live on orchestra’s Facebook and Youtube acounts.
Co-financed by the Polish Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sports, from the Cultural Support Fund.
