Vidmantas Bartulis memorial evening dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the composer’s birth.
In the diversity of styles, genres, mannerisms, moods and experiences, the music of Vidmantas Bartulis surpasses the work of many Lithuanian colleagues, surprising every time with unexpected turns or angles. He could write anything – from chamber miniatures to opera and large orchestral works, from folk song harmonizations to huge mass events, from monumental Requiem to music for fashion collection presentations, and pop arrangements.
The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra invites you to remember and rediscover the amazingly colorful work of Vidmantas Bartulis on October 19, 6 p.m., in Palanga. The concert will feature works loved by performers and appreciated by listeners, sincere and inventive, deep and full of passion.
As in 2020 said Vidmantas Bartulis himself, “a live concert, like a performance, is never exactly the same, it doesn’t matter that the same piece is performed. If there is a hall, a good orchestra, why not buy a ticket and listen to the concert live?”
