The St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra and pianist Kasparas Uinskas invite you to a distinctive spring evening where the drama of Romanticism, the calm of contemporary music, and Mendelssohn’s youthful vitality come together.

At the heart of the evening is Malediction by Franz Liszt — a work pulsating with tension, dramatic power, and virtuosic expression. In this piece, Liszt masterfully balances contrasts of darkness and light, allowing the soloist and orchestra to intertwine in an intense emotional dialogue.

Ramybė (“Calm”) by Lithuanian composer Mindaugas Urbaitis offers a completely different musical breath — a minimalist, transparent, and deeply meditative soundscape in which time seems to slow down and sounds become quiet reflections of inner states.

The programme concludes with Felix Mendelssohn’s String Symphony No. 12 in G minor, captivating listeners with its energy, lyrical expressiveness, and the astonishing youthful mastery of the composer.
