On 18 September, the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra travels to Kėdainiai, where it will present the special concert programme The Horn of Salvation as part of the culture and history festival Radviliada 2026.

Joining the orchestra on stage will be Israeli musician Bar Zemach, performing on two very different instruments brought together in this programme – the French horn and the shofar. The shofar is one of the oldest wind instruments still in use today and holds a special place in Jewish culture and religious tradition. Its ancient, powerful sound will intertwine with the contemporary timbre of the French horn and the rich string sound of the St. Christopher Chamber Orchestra.

The Horn of Salvation invites audiences to experience music as a meeting point of different eras, traditions, and cultures. The voice of an ancient instrument becomes the starting point for a musical narrative in which history is not merely remembered – it finds a new voice in the present.

The concert is part of Radviliada, a festival organised by the Kėdainiai Regional Museum for the twelfth time. This year, the festival brings together five places connected by the history and legacy of the Radziwiłł family: Kėdainiai, Raudondvaris, Svėdasai, Biržai, and Vyžuonos.
