On 25 July, as Vilnius celebrates the Feast Day of its patron saint, St. Christopher, we invite you to gather by the River Neris for the very first River Festival. 🌊
Stretching from the Vingis Park Bridge to the Žirmūnai Bridge, the banks of the Neris will come alive with a full day of music, outdoor activities, creativity, educational experiences, and riverside adventures.
For centuries, the Neris has been one of Vilnius’ defining landmarks – neighbourhoods grew along its shores, city life flourished around it, and people gathered here to meet and spend time together. This summer, the river invites everyone to reconnect with it, rediscover the city from a fresh perspective, and experience it in a new way.
Throughout the festival, various locations along the riverbanks will host a wide range of cultural, sporting, and family-friendly activities, including concerts, open-air cinema screenings, dance performances, creative workshops, readings, book club gatherings, activities for children and families, sports sessions, and community initiatives.
One of the festival’s highlights will be the Red Bull Tandemynės, taking place in the Baltic States for the very first time. This exciting and imaginative cycling event on water will see teams compete not only for speed, but also for creativity.
