One of the best chamber orchestras in the Baltic States – the Grammy Award-winning Sinfonietta Rīga – is coming to Lithuania! At Vilnius Spring Festival 2025, the orchestra will be presenting a programme together with a soloist – the up-and-coming Latvian violinist Daniil Bulayev. The concert will feature chamber orchestra pieces composed in the Baltic States.
Daniil Bulayev has been amazing audiences with his talent from an early age – he played his first concert with a chamber orchestra when he was just five years old. Although barely in his 20s, Daniil has already performed with Kremerata Baltica, the Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, the Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra and many other great orchestras, in Europe and beyond. Since 2022, he has been the artistic director for Davinspiro Camerata Orchestra, which he founded with like-minded people. Daniil Bulayev’s debut album was released in January 2025.
Considered one of the best chamber orchestras in the Baltic States, Sinfonietta Rīga stands out for its exceptional quality and depth of repertoire. The orchestra, which has won numerous awards, including the prestigious Grammy trophy, is constantly searching for new musical discoveries and invites its listeners to explore unknown horizons of sound. The orchestra’s concert at Vilnius Spring Festival 2025 will be conducted by Guntis Kuzma, winner of the Latvian Grand Music Prize and chief conductor and artistic director of the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra.
