For the Day of the Restoration of the State, one of the most prominent Lithuanian musical groups, led and conducted by maestro Modestas Barkauskas and Vaclovas Augustinas, prepared a program of Lithuanian music alone. The concert features orchestral and choral works that are loved and well appreciated by the performers and the public. The range of their content is extremely wide, reaching the field of sacred music as well. Their winners, including choir conductor and composer Vytautas Miškinis, will receive the National Awards on February 16th. The works of this creator and Donatas Zakaras, the winner of the M. K. Čiurlionis Prize, will reveal the richness and importance of Lithuanian sacred music in the concert.
